Cygnet Farm History
Cygnet Farm Miniature Horses is located at the foothills of the Smoky Moutains in East Tennessee. My family has a long Equine History here and we decided to stay here and start our own horse farm and equine training facility.
I (Ricky) grew up showing Appaloosa Horses on the all around show circuit. I primarily showed hunt seat, western pleasure, jumping over fences and eventually branched out to riding saddle seat and driving a few hackney ponies. When I was 12 I leased my first miniature horse Still R Nicks Reflection from Marilyn Robbins (of Still R Farm). I spent many summers at her horse farm cleaning stalls, body clipping horses and learning all I could about showing and training miniature horses. Marilyn was my first mentor in the world of Miniature Horses. I credit her with my love of these animals to this day. I eventually went on to college and halted showing horses for a few years and about 5 years ago I got back into showing horses again as an amateur.
Justin and I had pretty good success showing our own horses to National Top Tens in Performance and Halter, and decided at the end of 2006 to start taking on client horses. We look forward to helping amateurs and youth reach their full potential with their horses in the Driving, Jumping and Halter arenas!

Cygnet Farm Facilities

The Farm sits on 6 picturesque acres surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. We are in the process of building a log cabin (updates to come). We have a 15 stall show barn. All of the stalls are 8 ft by 12 ft, plenty comfortable for A and B minis alike. There is also a 100 ft outdoor arena, roundpen, 3 large pastures, and 36 X 36 turn out lots for show horses.
